Halloween at the Gardens

Chilling and snowy 19°F Sunday evening outing to see “Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns” at Hudson Gardens. Lots of fun lighted displays to enjoy - some animated, some smoke effects, many different areas with special themes. Good thing we dressed warmly!

Snow!

Cold 19° Sunday morning in Littleton, with perhaps 8 inches of snow on the deck railing. Beautiful day! Looks like I get to try out my new snow shovel this morning.

This was our view the evening before. The lights at the local high school looked a little like war of the worlds.

Estes Park and RMNP

Fun Tuesday back in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, with my sister along this time.

Well… this is nice…

My sister found us a delightful cabin right on the Fall River.

We enjoyed an afternoon walk around Estes Lake, along with some great wildlife sightings, including Elk lounging and rutting.

We couldn't find parking at Bear Lake as we'd planned, so we backtracked up the road, and found a nice short mostly level hike on the Glacier Creek trail to Sprague Lake from the Bierstadt Lake trailhead.
